Our Jerkbait/Glide bait leaders are truly one of a kind. Constructed on 180lb Stainless steel straight single strand wire. Comprised of only the finest components from Stringease. Each end is bent by hand. We take extra precaution and heat shrink the cut point of each end. And finally a larger portion of heat shrink to secure the snap in place. Very helpful for working a side to side or dive and rise type bait.

Here are some leader length recommendations based on different lures and conditions for musky fishing:

Casting Recommendations

-Jerkbaits & Glide Baits (Suicks, Phantoms, Hellhounds)

Leader: 9-12 inches

Material: Solid wire or heavy fluorocarbon (120-150lb test)

Why? Shorter leaders prevent interference with the lures side-to-side action. Allowing the bait to perform best.

Topwaters (Prop Baits, Walk-the-Dog, Creepers)

Why? Wire prevents cutoffs on explosive strikes while keeping the lures action intact.
